Responsibilities:
We are seeking a full time Quality Assurance Automation Engineer based out of our Richmond, VA office The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is an automation framework and Tools Developer within the Software Quality Assurance team. Desired candidates will require an advanced level of C#, .Net, and SQL programming skills, as well as experience with Ranorex, Cucumber, Webdriver, Chromedriver, Karma, Mocha, Yadda, and Chai. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining Automation Framework across all development platforms and for developing and maintaining the in-house tools used by the QA team. This includes working with QA Management and QA Analysts to develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive automated testing processes and reporting metrics.
The essential functions for this role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Design, build, and maintain a scalable and reusable automation framework platform
- Analyze existing application architecture and design supporting framework
- Suggest and monitor development best practices to accommodate continuous integration
- Analyze requirements, functional design and technical documents to ensure the accuracy, completeness and testability
- Use existing tools to program automated tests (Ranorex, Visual Studio, MS Test Manager, Ranorex, Cucumber, WebDriver, ChromeDriver, Karma, Mocha, Yadda, and Chai)
- Create, maintain, and modify QA tools as required by business rule changes, programming changes and requested enhancements
- Develop and maintain in house tools to assist with testing efforts; manual and automated
- Lead efforts to architect a full test automation suite for ease of maintenance and scalability
- Provide training to team members on the use of the testing and metrics tools
- Create and maintain documentation for processes and tools
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer/Software Test Engineer using automated build and testing platforms (TFS, Jenkins, Etc.)
- 3+ years of building automated testing frameworks and languages (Selenium, Ranorex, WebDriver, PHP, jQuery, RSpec, Capybara, Cucumber, Etc.)
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile environment while creating and testing databases using Microsoft SQL
- Ability to test both with and without a GUI (RESTful API, Web services, Etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
